Maevol is a diagnostic tool for options traders who trade earnings. We turn eight quarters of price behaviour, options-market pricing, and rule-based strategy logic into a single decision surface — so you can see what a stock has actually done, what the market is pricing now, and where the gap between them is.
The methodology
Maevol codifies the OptionPundit pre-earnings methodology as a repeatable, transparent diagnostic. Every signal on the site — PreDrift, Fade, PEAD, LongStraddle, ShortStraddle — fires against fixed statistical thresholds computed across the last 8 to 12 earnings prints per ticker. No black-box machine learning. No fitted parameters. No cherry-picked backfills. Change a threshold, change the code — the tool is the notebook.
Two branded metrics you'll see everywhere
Maevol Score — a 0-100 conviction score for the top-ranked strategy on a given earnings event. Higher = the rule engine sees stronger alignment across multiple signals. Sort by it in the scanner to find the highest-conviction setups for the next three weeks.
Maevol Ratio — the weekly implied move divided by the ticker's historical median realized move. Above 1× means the options market is pricing more than the ticker's typical earnings move; below 1× means less. High-conviction long-volatility setups often cluster below 1×.
What we do — and what we don't
We build a diagnostic engine. We do not trade for you, we do not manage money, we do not send text-message alerts to buy or sell, and we do not run coaching webinars. Maevol is a place you go before a trade to see the data as clearly as possible, not a place that tells you what trade to make.
